Logic drives the passionless and desire drives the less-rational. It's a balance of heat and mind depending on our own requirements.
Without rationality a "belief" can ONLY be a true belief justified by "blind faith" or irrationality. As such, these beliefs are the ones that, when held by one to be true, must be held passionately (and defended as such) or rationality may creep in and the belief may fade away.
There is a level at which our beliefs are rationally unreachable.
